Akakura Kanko Ski Resort
On December 12, 1937, AKAKAN (Akakura Kanko Ski Resort) became the first resort in Japan to be recognized as an international ski resort. You can ski for a full 4 kilometers from the top of the Hotel No. 5 ski lift. Among the courses there is also the Free Ride Park, which is equipped with a full array of features. For children who are still too young to go out on the slopes, we recommend the Kids’ Park; conveniently located right next to the large parking lot.
