Geto Kogen Resort
One of the best snowfall stats and powder snow in Japan! With its stable snowfall, the resort is usually open from December to May during the Golden Week season. The tree-run area here is one of the largest in the Tohoku region, where you can slide through the trees in unpressurized snow! The regular course has a total run distance of 14,100 meters, and the tree run area is vast. The slopes are laid out to accommodate a wide range of levels from beginners to advanced skiers, including a gentle slope perfect for beginner debuts and a panoramic course with an observatory at the start with views of Mt. Chokai and Mt. Iwate. There is also an inn directly connected to the ski resort and a natural hot spring! From one of the area's best open-air baths, you can see Kitakami City in the distance. A free shuttle bus runs from JR Kitakami Station for easy access!
